The Papamoa FC Player Pathway Programme(training programme for Federation Football-Youth)

Off the back of a hugely successful 2021 season, Papamoa FC is well underway in planning for Federation Football in 2022.

The focus of these teams is on players who aspire to be in a competitive environment and are looking to progress with their individual development.  Deliverance of our Player Pathway Programme in conjunction with Federation Football helps players through their football journey. Federation teams play within the Talent Perform Pathway.

With the recent accreditation of the NZF Quality Club Mark and NZF Skill Centre Programme, (we are the only club in the region who holds both of these together), Papamoa FC are in an extremely strong place to be able to deliver programmes of this calibre which will develop our young players to have the opportunity to grow in the game through to senior football.

Papamoa FC will therefore be entering teams into the following leagues and welcome all players to register their interest to join us for trials for the following grades;

Mixed(Male/Female)-Females can play down 1 age grade from their assigned age grade

Two training sessions a week (Tues/Thurs) with an option to train an additional day Friday(TBC).  Games to be played Sundays.

Leagues are now mixed grade(Male and Female). Females are able to play down a grade. For example a 2008 born female can play wither 13th or 14th grade. It is recommended females play down a grade.

  • 13th Grade (2009)- Head Coach - Alaistair Frost/Josh Nelson
  • 14th grade  (2008) - Head Coach - Mario Ramos Junior/ Alastair Frost
  • 16th grade (2006/2007) - Head Coach -  Jarrod Young/George Gall/Mario Ramos Senior

Pathway to

*Papamoa FC Under 23s

*Papamoa FC 1st team

* NOTE-The Federation 16s squad will train with our Senior Premiers and Under 23s.

It is imperative that all players are aware that they must attend trials in February to be considered for selection.  Genuine reason of unavailability, such as sickness, injury, or being overseas, will be taken into consideration, however this must be advised and approved no less than 24hrs before the trials commence by advising the Director of Football.  This is to ensure fairness to all players taking part.

Registration Information / Cost

All players will be expected to register as per normal with the club which will incur a normal season cost of $155.

Once teams are selected we will invoice a further $300 per player. This is to cover the additional costs that Federation football incurs. Specifically this includes registration fees to WaiBOP & NZ Football, Coach and Referee appointments and additional equipment that is required throughout the season.
